May is for RDA – An Introduction to RDA for Cataloguers , 7th May, Edinburgh

CIG Scotland is delighted to announce an Introduction to RDA seminar taking place in Edinburgh in May.

The seminar will provide a practical introduction to RDA for cataloguers, covering the history and development of the standard, exploration of the RDA Toolkit, RDA’s relationship to AACR2 and MARC 21, and with an emphasis on worked examples and practical information.

The seminar will be led by Jenny Wright, Training & Development Manager at Bibliographic Data Services Limited (BDS).  Jenny has extensive experience of training cataloguers in RDA.

Attendance will benefit cataloguers and metadata professionals seeking a practical introduction to RDA, and those responsible for implementing the standard.

Seminar details

  • Date: Thursday 7th May
  • Time: 10am-4pm
  • Venue: National Library of Scotland Board Room, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1EW
  • Cost: £60 for CIG/CIGS members, £72 for non-members.  VAT is included in the cost.

A sandwich lunch will be provided.
