Analysing, maintaining and updating bibliographic metadata can be challenging and time consuming tasks. In this session three tools, Regular Expressions, MarcEdit and OpenRefine, will be introduced for working with data effectively and efficiently. The day will include case studies looking at how these tools have been used to work with library data, and hands-on sessions with each of the tools, as well as an opportunity to discuss how they would apply to your own workplace.
The workshop requires participants to bring a laptop (not a tablet) and have the ability to install software on it.
