The visit will give an introduction to the structure of BBC Archives, the systems and roles, a tour of the Media City site, and time with Media Managers in the various departments.
It will provide an insight into the work of Media Managers at the BBC who are ‘embedded’ in the production departments, based in the programme teams and use a mix of archives and production systems to select content for archiving and enhance metadata, as well as providing training and research support.
