The Association of Pall Mall Libraries has kindly extended an invitation for CIG members to register for the following event:
RDA Briefing Monday 25th April 2015, at Royal Astronomical Society, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BQ The session will run from 2pm – 5pm Fee: £12.50 per person (including VAT) Speaker: Alan Danskin, Collection Metadata Standards Manager, British Library, Vice-Chair CILIP Cataloguing & Indexing Group and Chair of the European RDA Interest Group (EURIG).
Outline: Resource Description and Access (RDA) is the cataloguing standard developed to replace AACR2. During this briefing session, Alan Danskin will run through the background to RDA and FRBR, and the differences from AACR2. He will cover:
